Michelle Zhang is a second-year osteopathic medical student at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine, expected to graduate in May 2027. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University at Albany, SUNY in 2018, graduating on the Dean's List with multiple academic honors and scholarships. Zhang has extensive clinical experience in gastroenterology and urgent care settings, having worked as a medical assistant, medical scribe, and patient care technician. She is fluent in Mandarin and has provided translation services in clinical environments. Currently, she works as a home health aide while continuing her medical studies. She serves as President of the American Osteopathic College of Occupational and Preventative Medicine chapter and holds leadership positions in multiple student organizations, including Treasurer of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists and second-year representative for both the American Physician Scientists Association and Asian Pacific American Medical Association. Zhang volunteers at the Community Free Clinic providing care to underserved populations and is involved in research examining the off-label use of semaglutide and its impact on healthcare access. She holds ACLS and BLS certifications along with several clinical research and epidemiology certificates.
