Presentation Proposal Form

Presentations should reflect needs

Our needs assessment process is very important to (1) maintain the utmost quality of our educational programs, (2) fulfill requirements as an AOA Accredited CME sponsor, and (3) ensure that our topics meet knowledge gaps and are relevant to physicians practicing in the areas of aerospace medicine (including hyperbaric medicine), preventive medicine and public health (including correctional medicine), and occupational and environmental medicine (including disability and impairment evaluation medicine).

Topic proposals are most needed in these areas

  • Epidemiology
  • Biostatistics
  • Substance Abuse
  • Environmental and Biological Hazards/Radiation Exposure/Reproductive Hazards.
  • Rules and Regulations, Legal and Regulatory, Public Health Law, Legal aspects of medicine.
  • Chronic disease prevention
  • Public Health Administration
  • Infectious disease
  • Evidence based medicine (government guidelines, vaccine update)
  • Aerospace Medicine History (current vs. archives)
  • Injury prevention
  • Clinical aerospace
  • Biomechanics/barometric physiology
  • Fundamentals and clinical applications of Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine
  • Correctional Medicine
  • Disability Impairment Evaluation
    Potential Speakers should complete a Speaker Application Form for each proposed presentation.

NOTE: Some proposals may be selected as commemorative or memorial lectures at AOCOPM's Midyear Educational Conference.
